Syracuse University Career Services, within the Division of Student Affairs, hosts the annual ’Cuse Career Week beginning Wednesday, Sept. 24, with the Local Internship Fair and continuing throughout the week with the Career and Grad School Fair @ the Dome, Diversity in the Workplace and Law School Information Fair. These events are open to all students and encourage the process of beginning an internship search or job search and applying to post-graduate education. Students are offered the opportunity to gain networking experience with employers, seek career and education advice and sharpen their job-hunting skills.

CW Hashtag“Students of all years and majors are welcome and encouraged to attend ’Cuse Career Week events,” says Sue Casson, associate director of employer relations in Career Services. “The skills and tools gained during this week such as resume building, networking experience, and exploring post-graduate education options are important for every Syracuse student at any stage of their education.”

An overview of the week’s events:

Local Internship Fair—Wednesday, Sept. 24, 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Panasci Lounge, Schine: The Local Internship Fair provides Syracuse University students with the opportunity to connect and build relationships with local organizations and businesses that are looking for interns in the Central New York area. More than 80 companies will be attending the event.

Resumania—Friday, Sept. 26, 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m., 235 Schine: Resumania offers students the chance to get their resumes reviewed and critiqued before the Career and Graduate School Fair and Diversity in the Workplace events. The resume reviews are conducted on a one-on-one basis with employer representatives. This is a unique opportunity for students to get the opinions of potential employers and to see how their resume holds up under professional critique. Resumania is on a first come, first served basis.

Career & Grad School Fair @ the Dome—Tuesday, Sept. 30, 12:30-4:30 p.m., Enter through Gate A:Employer representatives from more than 100 organizations will pack the Dome, offering students the opportunity to learn about a variety of internships and full-time job opportunities. Morgan Chase & Co., General Electric, Macy’s/Bloomingdale’s, Cognizant Technology Solutions, New York Army National Guard, IBM, EY (Ernst & Young), and U.S. Marine Corps.
