A benefit to assist with the educational expenses for the children of Syracuse University staff member Kathy Bergamo Delavan, who lost her battle against breast cancer in August, will be held Sunday, Oct. 5, from 1-5 p.m. at the Camillus Elks Club, 6117 Newport Road in Camillus.
The event will feature a pasta dinner complete with meatballs, bread and fresh-baked desserts. A $20 donation includes music, food, soft drinks and door prizes. There will also be a cash bar. Children under 10 are free.
Funds raised at the event will be placed in a trust fund for college expenses for the youngest of Delavan’s four children: twin sons Alex, a student at Cazenovia College, and Brad, a student at Onondaga Community College.
