Shannon Andre Named Student Affairs Communications Manager
Shannon Feeney Andre, ’09, has been named communications manager for the Division of Student Affairs. Andre will move to the office of the Senior Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs from her current position as assistant director of Campus and Employer Relations in Career Services, a unit within the Division of Student Affairs.
In her new role, Andre will innovate, coordinate and manage internal and external Student Affairs communications for the dean and all of the 25 units that comprise the division. She will work closely with students to continue the growth of the LivingSU website, a SU-centric site that connects students with each other and life on campus. She will also collaborate with other Student Affairs staff on projects such as the ReadySet, the Student Handbook, the Parents Handbook, the Annual Report and various communications to students and the SU community.
Rebecca Reed Kantrowitz, senior vice president and dean of Student Affairs, says “We are thrilled to have Shannon step into this position. She brings technical skill, creative talent, high energy and fresh ideas. She will be an asset to the division and to the students we serve.”

Before coming to Syracuse University in 2011, Andre worked at United Way of Central New York. She is currently pursuing a master of science in communication management at Newhouse. She assumed her new position on Sept. 8.
