Power Restored after Outage on Main Campus

Working with National Grid, the University has restored power to all the buildings affected by this afternoon’s power outage. We thank the campus community for their understanding during this time.

The University is continuing to work with National Grid to restore all buildings on main campus affected by the current power outage. A series of buildings have already been restored and personnel from Physical Plant Utility Crews are actively restoring power in each of the remaining buildings. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
National Grid is working with crews from Syracuse University to restore power to a portion of main campus following an electrical outage Thursday (August 7) afternoon at approximately 3:25 p.m. The power outage is affecting a significant portion of main campus closest to Waverly Avenue. More information will be provided as it becomes available. Employees in buildings affected may depart the University now.
