3:22pm ET: Water has been restored to the previously affected locations.
Due to a water main break this morning on South Campus, the following buildings are currently without water: Goldstein Student Center; Early Education & Child Care Center; Bernice M. Wright Child Development Lab School; SkyHalls 1, 2 and 3; and Slocum Heights Apartments.
The child care facilities have closed and families have all been notified. Goldstein Student Center will remain open for residence hall check-in only.
The repair is expected to take several hours, with service estimated to be restored in the early evening. An update will be posted on https://news.syr.edu and the University’s campus Twitter account @SUCampus as soon as one is available.
