Young talents from Syracuse will be the featured artists, photographers and performers in “Learning to See,” an exhibition at Point of Contact Gallery. The exhibition consists of work produced in EL PUNTO Art Studio 2014, an interdisciplinary arts program designed by Point of Contact. This innovative contemporary arts program is facilitated to local youths in close collaboration with local Latino artists and community organizations, including La Casita Cultural Center, the Spanish Action League of Upstate NY, the Near West Side Initiative and the Pal Project. “Learning to See” will include videos, photographs and a live performance during the opening reception on May 3 from 1-3 p.m. The exhibition runs May 3-June 27.
