The Syracuse University and SUNY-ESF chapter of Habitat for Humanity is hosting a tasty fund-raiser Saturday, April 12, to benefit the chapter’s work.
The Habitat Spring Wing Festival Fund-Raiser will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at Walnut Park with live music, food, a bounce house, henna tattoos, games and a chicken wing-eating contest.
There is an $8 fee to register for the contest before the day of the event; the fee will be $10 to register the day of the event. Participants can register for the wing-eating contest at http://www.gofundme.com/7y4al8 or by stopping at Cubicle C in the Schine Student Center.
There will be two rounds of the wing-eating contest: the first will be held at 1 p.m. and the second at 2 p.m. Winners from both rounds will be announced at 2:30 pm. First place will be awarded a gift card from Wings Over Syracuse, which is providing the chicken wings.
Radio station Z89 will broadcast live and food will include a $5 box of wings and Gannon’s Ice Cream.
