This is the second consecutive year the School of Education has been ranked in the top 50.

U.S. News & World Report has ranked the School of Education No. 45 among the best education graduate schools for 2015.

This is the second consecutive year the School of Education has been ranked in the top 50.

“I’m pleased that the School of Education has remained ranked in the top 50 schools of education in the country, and is No. 11 among private universities. Additionally, our special education program is ranked No. 12 among other graduate special education programs,” says School of Education Interim Dean Joanna Masingila. “These rankings are a tribute to the reputation of our programs and faculty members among our peers, the quality of our graduate students and the amount of external funding that our faculty members have secured.”

There are 649 total students enrolled in graduate programs at the School of Education. The school currently has 57 full-time, tenured or tenure-track faculty. For the 2012-13 fiscal year, the School of Education brought in external funding totaling $8,318,938.

The U.S. News & World Report bases rankings on two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research and students. The data comes from surveys of administrators at more than 1,350 programs and of more than 13,500 academics and professionals, conducted during the fall of 2013 and early 2014.
