Troy Ruhanen
Troy Ruhanen, executive vice president of Omnicom Group, will visit the Newhouse School on Monday, March 3, as a guest of the Eric Mower Advertising Forum. He will speak at 6:30 p.m. in the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium in Newhouse 3. Follow on Twitter at #MowerForum.
Ruhanen was most recently chairman and CEO of BBDO/Americas, where he oversaw operations in North, Central and South America. Previously, he served as deputy chairman of BBDO/North America, and was instrumental in advancing the company’s digital and strategic planning capabilities.
His client experience includes Procter and Gamble and AT&T, among others. Under his leadership, the work on AT&T became the most heralded in its category, winning Cannes Lions, Effies, Clios, One Show Pencils and Webby Awards.
Prior to joining BBDO, Ruhanen headed the Leo Burnett agency in Australia, leading it to a record four “Agency of the Year” designations. In 2008, he was inducted into the American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement.
