SU Wind Ensemble to Perform Feb. 5
The program will include Jess Turner’s “Through the Looking Glass,” Howard Hanson’s “Chorale and Alleluia,” Gabriel Fauré’s “Chant Funéraire,” John Mackey’s “Strange Humors” and John Philip Sousa’s “The Glory of the Yankee Navy.”
The wind ensemble is the University’s premiere concert band and is primarily made up of musicians from within the Setnor School. The wind ensemble performs under the direction of Bradley P. Ethington and Justin J. Mertz, faculty members in the Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music in the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Samantha S. Baldwin will appear as graduate conducting associate.
