Save the Date for 2014 Heart Walk
Syracuse University is participating in the 2014 Heart Walk on Saturday, March 22, at Onondaga Community College. The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premiere event for raising funds to save lives from this country’s number one and number four killers: heart disease and stroke. Designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, the Heart Walk creates an environment that’s fun and rewarding for employee-based teams and the entire family.
SU is hoping to have several teams participating in the walk this year, and team leaders and participants are needed! Last year, the University raised more than $15,000. A kick-off meeting for interested team leaders will be held Jan. 14 at Manley Field House, the site of the very first heart walk in 1984. For more information, visit
