The College of Law continues its tradition with its upcoming 19th Annual Family Day Nov. 9. More than 80 families from 11 states—more than 300 people—will enjoy activities on the SU campus and reconnect with their law student.
After attending lectures and watching trial teams, law student families enjoy lunch during Family Day.
“This is a great opportunity for families to experience the momentum building as we prepare for Dineen Hall and learn more about our vibrant and diverse community through mock classroom experiences and interacting with our students, faculty and staff,” says Michelle Wilcox, associate director of student life. “Families leave with a better understanding of the demands of law school and how to better support their student during those three years.”
Family Day is sponsored by Dean Hannah Arterian and the Office of Student Life, which offers award-winning programs, student mentoring and academic support for students as they prepare for life in the legal profession.
Most recently, the Office of Student Life was cited as providing one of the nation’s most innovative programs by National Jurist publication. The article recognized the office for the development and launch of website/blog, “Student Life Spotlight,” which connects students, student organizations and student leaders in an online environment designed to facilitate cooperation and collaboration on programs and events, share resources, raise funds and navigate all of the required processes during the event planning process.
