Make a Difference at the Ronald McDonald House

Central New York Ronald McDonald House

The SU Chapter of Golden Key International Honour Society is participating in Make a Difference Day 2013 by conducting a Wish List Drive to support the Ronald McDonald House of Central New York.

Individuals can donate items on the “House’s” Wish List below. Collection bins are in the Link Hall lobby and the atrium of the Life Sciences Complex, all day Wednesday-Friday, Oct. 23-25, 2013, and on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Perishable food items on Saturday only.)

The following items are needed:

GIFT CARDS

  • Price Chopper
  • Target
  • Tops
  • Walmart
  • Wegmans

HOUSEHOLD ITEMS

  • All-purpose spray cleaner
  • Clorox wipes
  • 12 oz. coffee “to go” cups with lids
  • Extra-large trash bags (40 gallons and larger)
  • Glass cleaner
  • Liquid hand soap
  • Microfiber cleaning mitts
  • Microfiber dust floor mops
  • Paper plates
  • Paper towels
  • Small trash can liners (4 gallons)
  • Swiffer wet and dry cloth refills
  • Stainless steel appliance cleaner

FOOD ITEMS

  • Bagels
  • Bottled Water
  • Butter
  • Coffee
  • Dry cereal
  • English muffins
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Granola bars
  • Individual snack bags of cookies and chips
  • Mayonnaise
  • Pasta sauce
  • Salad dressings (all except Italian)

TOYS/GAMES

  • Baby Dolls
  • Lego-type blocks (Large)
  • Tonka Trucks (all sizes)
  • Youth and Family rated videos games for Wii, Wii U and Xbox
  • Family Movies – DVDs and Blu-ray

OFFICE SUPPLIES

  • 8½” x 11” white copy paper

Please note that the organization currently has sufficient supplies of these food items: macaroni and cheese, canned goods, pasta, popcorn, peanut butter, teas, cooking spray, Italian salad dressing, oatmeal and soups, and the following children’s items: Beanie Babies, stuffed animals, books, coloring books, board games, crayons and pens.

All items, including food items, must be new for the safety of children with compromised immune systems.
