As part of its celebration of 100 years on the Syracuse University campus, two Orange Central events are on the calendar for Lutheran Campus Ministry. LCM will build a float for the Orange Central Parade and will host an LCM Tailgate.

The float will feature a replica of Otto, with construction taking place on the Kenneth A. Shaw Quad between Hendricks Chapel and the Physics Building on Thursday, Oct. 3, beginning at 9 p.m.

2012 Orange Central participants sport SU sunglasses.

Then, be a part of the parade and fill the float on Oct. 4. Join us for festivities at the Chaplain’s Lounge Friday from 3-5 p.m. The ‘Cuse Commotion Parade and Pep Rally steps off from the Schine Student Center at 5:30 p.m.

The second event is the LCM Tailgate before the football game, an open house at the parsonage. Catch up with old friends, students and chaplains starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. A former chaplain, the Rev. Frederick “Fritz” Lampe, will attend, with other chaplains there by Skype connection. The tailgate continues until 4 p.m.

Note that the parsonage, just one block off campus at the corner of Stratford Street and Ostrom Avenue, will be a stop on the Orange Central shuttle route Saturday.

For more information on either event, contact the Rev. Gail Riina at 315-443-2439 or lutheran@syr.edu. Visit the LCM  website at http://lcmsyracuse.org/.
