In fall 2010, the LGBT Resource Center launched the “You Are Not Alone” initiative in response to the growing number of LGBT youth suicides. In an effort to raise awareness that there are support and resources across campus, the center compiles a list of students, faculty, staff and alumni to let LGBT youth know that they are not alone. It will be published on the SU News website and in the Daily Orange in honor of Coming Out Month on Oct. 10.
To include your name on the list, email lgbt@syr.edu from your syr.edu e-mail account by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, with the your name as you would like it to appear. Please note, that due to space constraints, we cannot include campus affiliation or degree/professional credentials such as Ph.D., MSW, etc. Share the event with others.
