Empty Bowls Fundraiser for Local Food Pantries to be Held Sept. 27

emptybowls_frontAn Empty Bowls fundraiser to benefit food pantries in the Syracuse community will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at The Warehouse, 350 W. Fayette St., Syracuse. For a $20 donation, patrons may choose from hundreds of handcrafted ceramic bowls and enjoy a meal of soup and bread from local restaurants.

Empty Bowls is organized by the ceramics program in the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ Department of Art, Clayscapes Pottery and the Interreligious Food Consortium. Participating restaurants include Attilio’s, bc Restaurant, Empire Brewing Co., the Gardenview Diner, Grimaldi’s Ristorante, Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub & Restaurant, Laci’s Tapas Bar, Pastabilities, Santangelo’s, Sparky Town, Strong Hearts Cafe and The Warehouse Café.
