SU Showcase announces two new one-credit workshops on sustainability
SOL300 Waste Watchers: Reducing waste at SU (SECM010 #16214 )
Learn about the global and local issues of waste and recycling through film, classroom discussion, a tour of Syracuse Haulers waste separation operations and hands-on experience. The centerpiece of the weekend will be performing an audit of one day’s worth of campus waste. Students will then develop messaging for the campus to address the problems identified in the audit.

SOL300 The Art & Science of Biodiversity (SECM011 #31623 )
Learn about the crucial role of biodiversity through lectures and film, and document the diversity of species near campus through field observation and nature journaling. Develop skills of species identification, book making and visual communication.
