Seven 2013 alumnae of the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ (VPA) fashion design program are among the 100 designers selected for the fourth edition of “Emerging Fashion Designers,” an image-driven publication that showcases the most promising graduates of fashion design programs from across the United States.

The book, which will be published by Schiffer Publishing Ltd., will include professional quality photographs of each designer’s best work. The VPA designers’ work was photographed by students and recent graduates of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and VPA.

The fashion designers selected for the book are Gabrielle DeOrdio (Sarah Kinslow ’14 NEW, photographer); Liza Fishbone (Shay D. Frey ’14 NEW and Shijing Wang ’14 NEW, photographers); Dani Haygood (Kinslow); Shaina Mendelaw (Drew Osumi ’16 VPA, photographer); Christina Riggio (Meg O’Malley ’13 NEW, photographer); Alexa Rae Santos (Gregory Babcock ’13 NEW, photographer); and Lavender Xu (Kinslow).

“Emerging Fashion Designers” is supported by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Schiffer Publishing Ltd. has not announced a release date.
