Video: Taking Flight Inside the Dome

For their capstone projects, aerospace engineering seniors at Syracuse University design and build remote-controlled aircraft. On “Flight Day,” the students fly their aircraft inside Syracuse’s Carrier Dome, our on-campus sports stadium. The aircraft must carry a certain payload from one end zone to the other inside the Carrier Dome. This year, the students designed their aircraft to carry golf balls and tennis balls. This is always an exciting culmination to the aerospace program for graduating seniors.
