Roberto Marino Rejoins Sheraton Staff
The Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Center is pleased to announce that Roberto Marino has rejoined the hotel in his role as Catering Sales Manager. Marino comes to the Sheraton with years of experience within the hospitality industry and expertise in planning and creating special events. He has an extensive food and beverage background and is a member of both the Culinary Arts of America and Wedding Professionals.
Rob began his hospitality career at the Sheraton in 1998 as a banquet manager and in 2007 ascended to the position of catering sales manager. In that role, he assisted clients in the planning and execution of a variety of social events, including wedding receptions.
Marino spent the past three years expanding his experience within the Central New York culinary community and in April of this year returned to the Sheraton to resume the catering sales manager role. According to Jerry Keohane, the director of sales & marketing for the Sheraton, “We are thrilled to have Rob back on the Sheraton team. His experience and expertise in the catering arena, particularly when working with brides and grooms, is a very valuable asset for us.”
