U.S. higher education is not what it used to be. In the age of globalization, students transcend national boundaries, choosing where they receive their education, where they work, and where they live. As a result of the transnational flow of students, U.S. higher education is facing two challenges: to educate U.S. students to become participants in the global society while also transforming U.S. higher education in response to the growing presence of international students.
