Nominations Sought for 44 Stars of Excellence Awards
The Office of Student Activities within the Division of Student Affairs is seeking nominations for students and student organizations for the 44 Stars of Excellence Awards and Gala Celebration. Nominations can be submitted by faculty, staff and students online at 44stars.syr.edu through March 28.
The 44 Stars of Excellence Awards and Gala Celebration is a dinner and awards ceremony that recognizes and honors the hard work and dedication of Syracuse University’s undergraduate students and student organizations. More than 40 awards are given out, including the Division of Student Affairs Award for Collaboration to the Senior Vice President Award for Outstanding Senior Leadership. Each award has its own eligibility requirements, and provides an excellent opportunity for the campus community to cast light upon the many students and student organizations that are deeply engaged and committed to making the most of their SU experience.
The event is sponsored by Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, and will be held on April 11 at 5:30 p.m. at Goldstein Auditorium in the Schine Student Center.
Last year’s winners include Mikaela Ost for the Student Leadership Institute Award; Ben Glidden and the Traditions Commission for the Student Association SU Spirit Award; Jordan Weaver for the Career Services Emerging Leaders Award; and Alyssa Hillman for the Class of 2012 Citizenship Award. For a complete listing of the 2012 award winners, go to 44stars.syr.edu.
