GroupM’s Jones, Cecere Visit Newhouse March 28
Louis Jones, CEO of the GroupM agency Maxus, and Timothy Cecere, chief talent officer for GroupM North America, will visit the Newhouse School on Thursday, March 28, as guests of the Eric Mower Advertising Forum. Jones joined Maxus in 2009, charged with leading the agency to a new data-focused, addressability-enabled agency model that put digital at the center of communications planning and helped it become the integrated media agency of the future. He previously held positions with Havas Media, including global director of service excellence for Havas Digital.
Prior to that, he served as executive director of Organic Online, managing director of Diamond Media at Young & Rubicam and deputy media director at J. Walter Thompson.
Cecere began his career with the New York Times as a human resources generalist. He then served as HR manager at Newsweek before joining Ogilvy & Mather, where he served as HR director. He worked at MindShare Worldwide before joining GroupM.
He is involved in numerous industry and charitable affiliations, including the MindShare Foundation, Society for Human Resource Management, African Americans in Advertising, American Management Association, AdCenter at Virginia Commonwealth University and the Ethics Officer Association.
