Syracuse University and the union representing SU Parking and Transit Services workers have reached an agreement on a new three-year contract. SU employees who are members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union Local 317 ratified the contract in a vote Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Hendricks Chapel.
A total of 34 bargaining unit members were eligible to vote on the contract. The bargaining unit members include full-time and regular part-time SU employees who are parking attendants, parking control officers, data coordinators, office coordinators and a parking services technician. The contract will be in effect through Dec. 20, 2015.
