The Sport Management Club at SU, in collaboration with Steiner Sports Memorabilia, is holding an online auction of more than 25 premium items at http://bit.ly/TC9Whl now through Dec. 16.

Just in time for the holidays, this online auction is part of the Sport Management Club’s Charity Sports Auction to benefit Special Olympics New York.

The online auction offers a wide range of sports memorabilia that makes great gift ideas, including a New York Knicks basketball signed by Anthony, Thomas, Kidd, Chandler and Coach Woodson; a Shaq-autographed basketball; Moses Malone-signed 76ers jersey, a pair of Maria Sharapova-autographed tennis sneakers, as well as a 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship Pin Flag signed by the top 100 FedEx Cup golfers, including Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods.

The online auction will also feature once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including a meet-and-greet with Tony Reali and a one-hour live taping and a studio tour of ESPN’s “Pardon the Interruption.” A special package at Captiva Island, Florida’s Tween Waters Inn is also available for bidding.

For more information about the auction, including regular updates of added auction items, go to the Steiner On-Line Auction link at sucharitysportsauction.com/. More information is also available by contacting the Department of Sport Management at 315-443-9816.

The SU Sport Management Club is a student-run organization of the Department of Sport Management in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics. Since its founding in 2005, the club has raised more than $150,000 for local charities, to include the Syracuse Boys and Girls Clubs, the American Diabetes Association of Central New York, the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, the CNY Ronald McDonald House, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Upstate Cancer Center. During the past five years, the SPM Club has been recognized with the Chancellor’s Award for Public Engagement and Scholarship and received the 2009 Orange Circle Award from the SU Alumni Association to honor SU alumni, friends, faculty, staff and students who have achieved extraordinary accomplishments in support of others.
