SU Wind Ensemble and Symphony Band to present concert Dec. 4

The Syracuse University Wind Ensemble and Symphony Band will present a joint concert Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 8 p.m. in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium, Crouse College. The concert is free and open to the public. Free and accessible parking is available in the Q1 lot. Additional parking is available in the Irving Garage. Campus parking availability is subject to change; call 315-443-2191 for current information.

The Symphony Band performs under the direction of Justin J. Mertz, assistant director of bands at SU and a faculty member in the Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music in SU’s College of Visual and Performing Arts. The band will perform works by Giroux, Wagner, McBeth, von Suppe and Whitacre.

The Wind Ensemble performs under the direction of Bradley P. Ethington, director of bands at SU and a faculty member in the Setnor School, and Mertz. The ensemble will perform works by Gounod, Holst, Ticheli and Sparke.
