The Syracuse University Symphony Band will present a concert Sunday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium,Crouse College. The concert is free and open to the public. Free and accessible parking is available in the Q1 lot. Additional parking is available in the Irving Garage. The Symphony Band performs under the direction of Justin J. Mertz, assistant director of bands at SU and a faculty member in the Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music in SU’s College of Visual and Performing Arts. The band will perform works by Nixon, Margolis, Ito, Spittal, Janáček and Ives.
The Symphony Band is open to both music majors and non-majors at SU. The ensemble performs the most outstanding traditional and contemporary wind band repertoire.
