All are welcome at pitch workshops

Tuesday, October 2, 2012, By News Staff

A series of pitch workshops is being offered to students who have an idea or a venture and would like feedback on their pitches for competitions and investors. Pitching is all about iteration, and these workshops offer a relaxed atmosphere for students to practice. Students can attend one workshop, or to several to track their improvement. Faculty and practitioners in entrepreneurship are on the feedback panel.

The pitch workshops are perfect for students who plan to enter the Raymond von Dran IDEA Awards competition, the New York State Business Plan Competition, the L.C. Smith Invention and Creativity Competition or the Panasci Business Plan Competition in April 2013.

Pitch workshops will be held:

Oct. 11, 2-3:30 p.m., Whitman 303
Oct. 24, 5:1-7 p.m., Whitman 201
Nov. 2, noon–1:30 p.m., Whitman 004
Nov. 12, 10:30 a.m.-noon, Whitman 302

To learn more about IDEA, visit the IDEA website, the RvD IDEA Awards website or contact Stacey Keefe at sekeefe@syr.edu.
