The Department of Earth Sciences presents the fall 2012 K. Douglas Nelson Lecture Series, this week featuring Bill
Hames from Auburn University. The title of his lecture is “Detrital Muscovite and Stratigraphic 40Ar/39Ar Ages for the Greater Black Warrior Basin of the Southern Appalachians: Implications for Sedimentation and Tectonics.” The lecture will be on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 4 p.m. in room 113 Heroy Geology Lab; refreshments will be served.
