JPMorgan Chase & Co., founding partner of the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University (IVMF), is hosting the “Celebration of Service Honoring Female Veterans,” an event featuring various information sessions that provide female veterans with valuable information to help them transition into civilian life.
The IVMF is a participating organization in the event and is hosting a breakout session, “Small Business Preparedness,” highlighting leadership and work disciplines that make veterans primary candidates for starting and maintaining their own small business, and outlining resources available to vets, along with best practices to reach their entrepreneurial goals. Tina Kapral, IVMF director of education programs, will present the session. The IVMF provides education and employment-focused programs to servicemen and servicewomen and their families.
Information sessions featured during the celebration include “Making Your Money Work,” focusing on financial management; “Know Before You Enroll,” which helps vets utilize their education benefits; and “Personal Presentation and Resume Writing.”
