The Chronicle of Higher Education featured a story on entrepreneurship at Syracuse University, the Syracuse Student Sandbox, and how incubators and accelerators, business-plan competitions, internships and academic programs are helping SU students-and college students across the country-develop their business ideas.
ABC News highlighted the 2012 SU Commencement address delivered yesterday by Aaron Sorkin ’83. Broadway World reprinted Sorkin’s remarks. Other media outlets covering yesterday’s ceremony include CNY Central, YNN, 9WSYR, and the Post Standard. CNY Central highlighted how SU graduates prepare for the next step, and Syracuse.com features a photo slide show from the ceremony.
The Post-Standard reported Syracuse’s South Side Innovation Center being named top business incubator.
The Post-Standard previewed today’s visit to the Institute for Veterans and Military Families by U.S. Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Charles E. Schumer for the announcement of support for bipartisan legislation to provide education and job training for young veterans, and to streamline the certification processes for civilian jobs.
The Post-Standard reported on the exhibit, “Take No Prisoners: Political Cartoons Over Time and Place,” opening Wednesday at the Onondaga Historical Association. The exhibit is sponsored by SU’s Humanities Center.
