Hollywood is coming to Syracuse on Wednesday, May 9, for the world premiere of the first mainstream feature film about lacrosse, “Crooked Arrows.” The red carpet rolls out at the Crouse Hinds Theater at the OnCenter at 6 p.m., with the screening to begin at 8 p.m. Actors are expected to walk the red carpet at 7:15 p.m. “Crooked Arrows” stars Brandon Routh, of “Superman Returns,” and Gil Birmingham, of “Twilight” and was directed by Steve Rash. Neal Powless, former All American lacrosse player, Onondaga Nation citizen and staff member in SU’s Office of Multicultural Affairs is a co-producer of the film. VIP ticket holders can walk the red carpet and attend a post-screening reception. Tickets start at $15 and can be purchased in person at The Oncenter Box Office, by calling 315-435-2121, or online at Ticketmaster.com. A portion of the premiere night ticket sales will benefit the Haudenosaunee Promise Scholarship Program at SU.
