SU faculty, staff invited to give blood to save lives, Beat UConn
The SU vs. UConn Blood Battle, sponsored by the American Red Cross and SU’s Division of Student Affairs, continues Thursday, April 19, with the second of two blood drives aimed at recruiting donors among SU faculty and staff. Thursday’s drive, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., is being held in Archbold Gymnasium.
While employees are welcome to donate blood at any of the “Blood Battle” events on campus this month, today’s event is a designated employee drive to encourage faculty and staff to donate. All are also welcome to donate blood at the final two drives: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Watson Hall; and 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday, April 30, at Schine Student Center.
Walk-ins are welcome at all blood drive events. If you would like to schedule an appointment, call 315-233-6010.
This is the third year SU has participated in the “Blood Battle” with UConn. The first year, UConn won. Last year, SU won. Roll up your sleeve and help break the tie in SU’s favor this year.
