The application process for the 2012 Summer Syracuse Student Sandbox program now is open. Sandbox Director John Liddy has announced the following application
deadlines and program schedule:
* Applications are being accepted through 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4.
* An early acceptance period ends at the close of business on Tuesday, March 27.
* Names of groups accepted for early admission will be announced on Friday, March 30.
The program begins on May 30, and the course follows a 12-week process. It takes teams through three phases: business; product development; and finances. According to Liddy, every team is provided up to five mentors to assist in their startup’s acceleration. Each team is provided physical space in the Student Sandbox at the Tech Garden, downtown Syracuse. The program culminates on August 15 with a “Demo Day” exhibition.
