YouTube Fails In Its Fight Against Disinformation
Jennifer Grygiel, assistant professor of communications in the Newhouse School, was quoted in the Pro Publica article “YouTube Promised to Label State-Sponsored Videos But Doesn’t Always Do So.”
Danny Zuker ’86, Emmy Award-winning writer and co-executive producer for ABC’s “Modern Family,” will deliver the keynote address at the convocation ceremony for Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications on May 12.
A Newhouse School alumnus, Zuker has written and produced for comedy and variety series including “Roseanne,” “Evening Shade,” “Grace Under Fire,” “The Arsenio Hall Show,” “Coupling” and “Just Shoot Me.” He co-created and produced the series “Off Centre.” For “Modern Family,” Zuker has won Emmy and Writer’s Guild Awards.
The Newhouse Convocation ceremony will be held at noon on May 12 in the Carrier Dome. All graduating students, their families and friends are invited to attend. The ceremony will be webcast live at http://convocation.syr.edu. The Syracuse University Commencement ceremony will be held Sunday, May 13, at 9:30 a.m. in the Carrier Dome.
