This Thursday, March 15, our monthly reading series, Word Thursday, will feature Arthur Flowers. Flowers is a novelist, performance poet and storyteller in the griot tradition. He is the author of the novels “Another Good Loving Blues” and “De Mojo Blues,” and the memoir “Mojo Rising: Confessions of a 21st Century Conjureman.” He has been executive director of the Harlem Writers Guild, and the recipient of NEA and NYSFA awards in fiction and nonfiction.
The event begins at 7 p.m. An open mic reading follows, so bring your own original work to share. 601 Tully is located at the corner of Tully and Oswego in the Near West Side.
