The Syracuse University Archives is pleased to present an online exhibition titled “Changing Women’s Fashion: A Look at Coeds’ Clothing on SU’s Campus from Pre-1900-1950s.” The exhibition highlights the changes in fashion trends from the founding of the University (1870) until the close of the 1950s. Using original materials found in the SU Archives it features photographic images of campus coeds wearing everything from bermuda shorts to evening gowns. The images are supplemented by advertisements, articles, and cartoons from various campus publications. These decades are some of the most iconic time periods of women’s fashion and the women of SU were no strangers to style! The exhibition will be
featured from March-December.
