PBS’s “Innovation Trail” highlights the recent Post-Standard article on SU’s South Side Innovation Center helping local entrepreneurs leverage the expertise and experience of Syracuse University.

Sam Van Aken, associate professor of sculpture in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, is featured in the Vogue India blog “Borderline Style” as one of “The New Art Stars.”

The Central New York Business Journal reported on the Burton Blatt Institute (BBI) at Syracuse University helping to export a program providing entrepreneurship training to people with disabilities to Ghana.

University Professor Peter Blanck, chairman of BBI, is mentioned in a Post-Standard “Consider This” feature on the federal government’s Project Civic Access, helping local governments make their facilities accessible.

The Post-Standard reported on S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications students launching a campaign that targets childhood obesity in Central New York.

Linda Littlejohn, the associate vice president for SU’s South Side Initiative, is mentioned in the Post-Standard for her work with local rapper Brian Freeland, and his work with the “15th Ward and Beyond” and Black History Preservation projects.

The Post-Standard and Syracuse Eagle reported on a grant to SU’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) from the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation to research data on denied Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, compiled at the administrative level as the denials occur, identifying agencies not fulfilling FOIA requirements.
