Syracuse University faculty and staff will welcome potential graduate students interested in the Falk College’s newest graduate program—the M.S. in Sport Venue and Event Management during a special Spring Information Session on Saturday, March 3, at 10 a.m. in the Carrier Dome’s Club 4.4 Parking is available in the adjacent lots nearest the Dome.

In response to a strong career outlook in the fields of facility and event management and a growing need for professionals trained specifically in this area, this new interdisciplinary Master of Science degree in Sport Venue and Event Management is currently enrolling students for Fall 2012. The academic program includes faculty from the Falk College’s Department of Sport Management, as
well as elective courses from SU’s School of Information Studies (iSchool), S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. Unlike any other master’s program, this 36-credit hour graduate degree is focused on educational knowledge and skill development, leveraging experiential opportunities in the SU Carrier Dome, the only multi-purpose domed sports facility
on a college campus.

Sport management faculty and admissions staff will be available at the March 3 information session to meet with students and provide detailed information on this new program, as well as scholarships and housing.

RSVPs are encouraged by Feb. 25. Individuals who RSVP by this date will be eligible to win tickets to the SU-Louisville men’s basketball game on March 3 at the Carrier Dome. For more information about this event, contact 315-443-5555 or e-mail falk@syr.edu.
