Otto’s Army is in the running for the Naismith Award for the Best Student Section in the Nation. Otto’s Army made the top cut and is now in a second round of voting that determines the top eight finalists.

Out of 79 schools that entered the contest, Syracuse made it to the second round of voting as one of the top 16 schools with the highest votes. The top 8 schools with the most votes after Feb. 24 will advance to the final round.

The eight institutions with the most votes after the Semifinal Round will be judged by the Naismith Board of Selectors for a final vote, which will be partially based on overall votes, video, photo, essay and other information submitted during the nomination process back in November.

To vote for Otto’s Army, visit the Facebook voting site at https://www.facebook.com/ilovecollegehoops?sk=app_148595948584796.

For more information, contact Ashley Andrew, president, Otto’s Army at asandrew@syr.edu.
