Screening: “Chan Is Missing”
The program in Asian/Asian American Studies will be kicking off its Winter film series with a screening of Wayne Wang’s directorial debut “Chan Is Missing” on Thursday, Feb. 9, at 5 p.m., in Kittredge Lecture Hall, HBC. Part “whodunit?” and part urban ethnography, “Chan Is Missing” follows taxi driver Jo (Wood Moy) and his sidekick Steve (Marc Hayashi) as they search through San Francisco’s Chinatown and Manilatown for the mysterious Chan, who has absconded with their savings.
