The Whitman School of Management will host the 2011 International Week Tuesday, Nov. 29-Friday, Dec. 2. This annual four-day-long multicultural event brings together the Syracuse University community in celebration of the cultural diversity present in the student body at the Whitman School. Whitman International Week is sponsored by the Kiebach Center for International Business and organized by the Whitman Graduate Student Organization (WGSO).
During the event, students showcase their heritage by representing their home countries through native cuisine, ethnic dance and music, international sport games and talents such as calligraphy, henna art and origami. Whitman International Week is free and open to the public. Paid parking is available in the University Avenue Garage.
Festivities begin with an opening ceremony in the Flaum Grand Hall in the Whitman School building, 721 University Ave., on Tuesday, Nov. 29, beginning at 5 p.m. The opening ceremony includes a student talent show, “Got Talent?,” and opening remarks by Peter Koveos, the Kiebach Chair in International Business and director of the Kiebach Center.
