Rose-Laying Ceremony and Homecoming Parade
University Place will be closed on Friday, Nov. 11, between 2 and approximately 4:15 p.m. due to the Rose-Laying Ceremony and the Homecoming Parade. During this time the Centro buses will be re-routed to Waverly Avenue instead of University
Place. The main bus stop at College Place will not be affected and will still be in use during this time.
The parade route will begin westbound on University Place, turning right onto South Crouse Ave., right onto Waverly Ave., then right
again onto Comstock Ave. It will proceed down Comstock Ave. turning right onto Euclid Ave., and will proceed to College Place. The parade route will turn right onto College Place and will continue down College Place to the main campus bus shelter where it will proceed onto the Quad making its way toward Hendricks Chapel. For brief periods of time roadways will be closed and buses may be delayed.
Once the roadways are cleared, buses will return to normal operation. Due to the parade traffic, certain permit holders may expect delays when exiting their lots. Once the parade has passed, the roadways will be reopened, and normal traffic flow will be resumed. Parking and Transit Services thanks you in advance for your attention and patience during this time.
