SU NEWS AND EVENTS COVERAGE

On the observation of the 125th anniversary of the dedication of the Statue of Liberty, a New York Times op-ed about current immigrant detention and removal policies cites statistics compiled and analyzed by Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC).

Participation by the SU Humanities Center in recent and current poet and novelist  presentations at the Syracuse Downtown Writer’s Center is noted in Syracuse.com.

FACULTY QUOTES

David Cay Johnston, distinguished visiting lecturer in the College of Law, posted a Reuters video commentary on the issue of gender income inequity.

Leonard Burman, the Daniel Patrick Moynihan Professor of Public Affairs at the Maxwell School, is quoted in Bloomberg Businessweek and Business Recorder articles on flat tax proposals.

Eric Kingson, professor in the Falk College’s School of Social Work, is quoted in a News Journal (Wilmington, Del.) article about the “super committee” on deficit reduction and political theater around its congressional hearings.
