The College of Visual and Performing Arts and Imagining America: Artists and Scholars in Public Life will present “Urban Revitalization: Transformations through Art and Design” on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28 and 29.
The conference will begin on, Friday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m. with a lecture and Q&A by keynote speaker Kyung-Won Chung, deputy mayor and chief design officer of Seoul, South Korea, INDEX Award Winner of 2011 and industrial design professor at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. Chung will present his work on various
design projects in Seoul. The lecture and presentation will demonstrate urban revitalization possibilities with the implementation of good design into the city’s policy and infrastructure, with a reception to follow.
