Syracuse Stage mourns passing of cast member
A statement from Syracuse Stage about the death of cast member Ellis Foster:
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ellis Foster, whose brief time as a cast member in ‘The Boys Next Door’ brought joy and inspiration. We are grateful to have been touched by his talent and his kindness.
He was admitted on Wednesday, Oct. 12, to Crouse Hospital, where he received dedicated and personal care. He passed away on Saturday, Oct. 15. Syracuse Stage extends condolences to all who knew Ellis personally and professionally.
Performances of ‘The Boys Next Door’ will continue as scheduled. The role of Lucien will be performed by William Hall Jr., who performed in Stage’s 2010 production of ‘Fences.’
