Intellectual property is subject of GET Speaker Series talk

Katherine Card Beckles, Assistant General Counsel of Intellectual Property and Technology Law at JPMorgan Chase will speak on intellectual property in the next installment of the Global Enterprise Technology (GET) Speaker Series.

Beckles will lead a discussion of intellectual property law with a particular focus on patents and their effect on various industries, including financial services. She will also discuss the recent changes implemented by the America Invents Act the most sweeping change to patent legislation since 1952.

The event will be held from 11:50 a.m.-12:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Syracuse University School of Law, room 175.
