In preparation for the 2011-2012 flu season, Health Services will provide free seasonal flu vaccine to Syracuse and ESF students at the following three vaccine clinics:
Thursday, Oct. 13, from noon–3 p.m. at Flanagan Gymnasium
Wednesday, Oct. 19, from noon–3 p.m. at Health Services
Wednesday, Oct. 26, from noon–3 p.m. at Health Services
No appointment is necessary for the clinics, but all students must present a valid SU/ESF ID.
Additional clinics will be scheduled based on demand and will be posted on the Health Services Web site and Facebook page. Flu immunizations will continue to be available throughout the semester. Health Services has an adequate supply of vaccine to meet student needs.
The 2011-2012 vaccine contains the H1N1 strain, which is a Type A influenza virus. CDC information about seasonal flu is at http://www.cdc.gov/flu/keyfacts.htm.
