The Center for Digital Literacy at the School of Information Studies (iSchool) will host Marcia Mardis, an assistant professor at the School of Library & Information Studies at
Florida State University, for the 2011 installment of its Distinguished Lecture Series.
Mardis is the associate director of the Partnerships Advancing Library Media Center at Florida State, and has done extensive research on school libraries, science learning and digital resources.
She will speak on “Grand Challenges, Boundary Objects, Cyber-Infrastructure and STEM Learning: Pulling the Threads Together.”
The lecture will take place at 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, in the Katzer Room (347) in Hinds Hall.
