Staff 2 Staff session, Gallery Talk: ‘[hyphen] Americans,’ to be held Thursday, Oct. 6
Photographer Keliy Anderson-Staley is known for using a 19th-century process to create stunning tintype portraits. A Light Work exhibition of her work titled “[hyphen] Americans,” speaks to the multicultural character of American identities (Irish-American, African American, etc.). The exhibition focuses primarily on individuals from the broader Syracuse community who were photographed while Anderson-Staley was in residency at Syracuse University in 2010. Join a Light Work/Community Darkrooms staff member on Thursday, Oct. 6, at noon for a guided tour of this fascinating and unique exhibition.
